In an era defined by evolving geopolitical dynamics, rapid digital transformation, and mounting pressure on global trade, transatlantic cooperation remains a bedrock of stability, innovation, and shared prosperity. The ACE US Delegation 2025—organized by AmChams in Europe, a network representing over 17,000 companies through 50 American Chambers of Commerce across 48 countries—reaffirmed this commitment during a pivotal week of strategic engagement in Atlanta, Georgia and Washington, D.C.
This year’s delegation convened 47 senior representatives from 30 AmChams, participating in high-level dialogues that explored the future of U.S.-European economic relations, global leadership, and the role of innovation in addressing common challenges. From policy roundtables to industry site visits, the program spotlighted the enduring values and mutual interests at the heart of the transatlantic alliance.
“Transatlantic relations go far beyond economics—they reflect a shared commitment to trust, cooperation, and creating an environment where businesses and societies can grow, thrive, and contribute to peace,”
— Ajša Vodnik, Chair of AmChams in Europe and CEO of AmCham Slovenia
Innovation & Sustainability: Atlanta in Focus
The delegation’s journey began in Atlanta, an emerging hub of innovation and sustainability. At the Georgia Institute of Technology, leaders explored how research institutions can drive resilient entrepreneurial ecosystems. With an annual research budget exceeding $1.4 billion, Georgia Tech exemplifies the power of integrating academia, innovation, and economic development.
At Coca-Cola’s global headquarters, executives highlighted the company’s approach to sustainability, community engagement, and brand purpose – underscoring the evolving role of global enterprises as agents of social impact. Discussions at Delta Air Lines centered on the future of sustainable mobility, automation, and AI-powered logistics – emphasizing how these innovations are meeting growing consumer and environmental expectations.
Engagements with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Department of Economic Development offered a closer look at how the state supports and cultivates a competitive global trade and investment landscape.
Strategic Dialogue in Washington, D.C.
In Washington, D.C., the delegation met with senior officials across the U.S. government and business community, including the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Atlantic Council, andUPS. Conversations covered a wide range of priorities, including trade policy, digital governance, artificial intelligence, energy security, and the critical role of the private sector in fostering global stability.
Bipartisan meetings on Capitol Hill confirmed strong political consensus: the transatlantic partnership is not just an economic imperative but a strategic necessity—essential to global peace, prosperity, and democratic resilience.
By the Numbers: A Partnership of Impact
The scale and significance of the U.S.–EU economic relationship are undeniable:
- $1.9 trillion in annual trade
- $7.4 trillion in mutual direct investment
- 64% of foreign investment in the U.S. originates from Europe
- 56% of U.S. foreign investment flows to Europe
- 16 million jobs supported across both continents
These figures represent more than just economic exchange – they underscore the tangible benefits of a partnership grounded in shared values and long-term collaboration.
Building Trust and Cultural Understanding
Beyond policy and commerce, the delegation fostered meaningful reflection and cross-cultural understanding.
As Elias Spirtounias, Vice Chair of AmChams in Europe and Executive Director of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, emphasized: “The values that unite us—democracy, rule of law, and cooperation—demand more than rhetoric. They require enduring relationships, strategic investment, and unwavering commitment. That is why we are here. That is why we believe in the transformative power of partnership.”
Throughout the week, differences in American directness and European analytical approaches emerged not as challenges but as complementary strengths—fueling deeper dialogue, creativity, and problem-solving.

As a trusted connector between Europe and the United States, AmChams in Europe continues to amplify transatlantic voices, align priorities, and help shape a more connected, resilient, and prosperous future.
