Brussels, March 2026 – AmChams in Europe (ACE) successfully held its first ACE Brussels Doorknock, bringing together leaders from the transatlantic business community, European decision-makers, and leading think tanks. The initiative provided a timely platform to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Europe and the transatlantic partnership.
Participants highlighted that Europe is entering a transformative era, where traditional models are being reshaped and will not return to their previous form. Leveraging the full potential of the Single Market remains central, alongside the need to avoid fragmentation, while the EU continues to serve as the most effective framework for cooperation and stability. The discussion emphasized the importance of upholding core values, including democracy and the rules-based international order, and of moving from strategic priorities to effective implementation.
Attendees also explored the pressures facing Europe, from debt and decarbonisation to defence, demographic shifts, digitalisation, and the de-risking of globalisation. Across the dialogue, the transatlantic business community stressed the need for openness, predictability, stability, and deeper economic and industrial collaboration.
A key takeaway was the importance of maintaining and strengthening transatlantic ties. AmChams across Europe continue to play a central role in fostering trust, long-term investment, and partnerships that underpin peace and prosperity.
